Ten states and Washington, D.C. have legalized recreational marijuana use. Lawmakers in Illinois, New Jersey, New York and elsewhere are pushing me to do the same. More than 60% of Americans support legalization, according to Pew Research Center, double the rate in 2000.

More than half of employers give drug test to job applicants, according to a poll of 1,058 hiring managers by the Society of Human Resources Management. Some companies say the test are important in preventing workplace accident and avoiding legal disputes.
